New Years Resolutions

Part of my new years resolutions were to be more open and learn how to communicate better with others. I have loads of issues in this department. First, I always had hard time to make friends, because I never know how to start a conversation. When I’m in a party I always respond to what I’m asked and maybe after few drinks I loosen up a bit. So the first impression people always have of me is that I’m a snob. But God knows I really wish I was different; more talkative, and easygoing; according to recent researches, women speak three times more than men. A woman says about 20 thousand words per day which is 13 thousand times more than men. I probably got it the wrong way around, sometimes I’m talking to my husband and I stop in the middle and ask if I’m talking too much (usually after I had a drink or two) he laugh at me and ask: you kidding, right? Because he have to corkscrew things out of me. Even now while I’m writing this piece, I’m already thinking to myself: “Who cares if I have issues… they don’t need to ready my blabbing.”

But I’m going to make an effort and overcame my bad thoughts and go ahead. Starting a blog was Sam’s idea; I showed him “Ilva’s” blog and we fell in love with the idea. Her Pictures are amazing, so he told me:

Sam – I think you should start a blog.

Me – WHAT? And say what?

Sam – Things about cooking and about your life.

Me – And who will care?

Sam – You would be surprised. And you are going to make loads of new friends.

So I decided to start, and now I can only thank him for pushing me to do it, because I’m having a lot of fun. I love everything about it; the cooking, taking pictures, and I’m learning a lot along the way.

To make it even better it would be nice if you guys reading this could share your opinions sometimes, and interact a bit. Help me overcame my shyness. And actually make loads of friends with common interests.
